* – On the evening of the dress rehearsal, the actor playing the part of Rudolph suffered a major heart attack and couldn’t perform in the show. I was called in (having not seen the show before) to take the role of Rudolph for the remainder of the run and learned the dances, dialogue and lyrics required to do so.
** – Originally I was called in to film the production of ‘Back to the Future Stars’ – a show devised with no written script. Unfortunately, the lead character dislocated his knee two minutes in and was rushed to hospital. Following a brief re-shuffle of the camera team, I went on stage and maintained communications with the director when not on stage and with the opposite lead to find out what the next few scenes entailed. The evening was ultimately a success and was very well received.
